Here and There...

  Situated along the Potomac River in the beautiful lower Shenandoah Valley, Shepherdstown is the oldest town in West Virginia.  It has the history and ambience of a small town while, at the same time, enjoying our wonderful restaurants, many unique shops or catch a movie or a show at our old movie theater.  It is also a University town, which makes the town full events, music and art year round.  Shepherdstown makes  a great day trip  or weekend getaway.  Having some of the best bed & breakfast around the area, along with the Bavarian Inn, which was named one the most romantic hotels in America.
  Nearby to Shepherdstown you can visit Civil War sites at Harpers Ferry or Antietam, you can hike or bike the C&O Canal path and you can enjoy rafting, tubing or kayaking on the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers.
  Parking is metered til 6 M-F. Sat until noon.  Loading zones are open free at 3pm during the week and open all day on weekends.  There is free parking at the Shepherd University parking lot on the Corner of Princess street and High Street, next to the Blue Moon on Saturdays and Sundays.   Feel free to stop by  for quarters, I was always have extras.
